Atto 3 vs Atto 2
The Atto 2 is BYD's smaller SUV, from $31,990 with 345 km of WLTP range. It had no ANCAP rating when this page was checked. For a family car, the Atto 3 Evo Dynamic is the better choice until the Atto 2 has an ANCAP result.
Atto 1 vs Atto 2 vs Atto 3
The lineup page compares BYD's three Atto models in Australia and Nepal. The Atto 1 is a four-seat city hatch from $23,990, and the Atto 3 Evo is the family car of the three.
Atto 3 vs Geely EX5
The Geely EX5 Complete costs the same $41,990 as the Atto 3 Evo Dynamic. It has 475 km of range and a 7-year warranty with no kilometer limit. The EX5 Complete is the better value at entry level. The Atto 3 Evo Premium is the better choice for long distances.
Atto 3 vs Sealion 7
The Sealion 7 is BYD's larger SUV, from $54,990. Its Premium variant uses the same 230 kW rear motor as the Atto 3 Evo Premium. The Sealion 7 is worth the extra money for its size or its all-wheel-drive option, not for its range or charging.
Atto 3 vs Dolphin
The Dolphin is BYD's hatchback, from $29,990. The Dolphin Premium matches the Atto 3 Evo Dynamic's battery size and motor output for $5,000 less. The extra $5,000 for the Atto 3 buys an SUV body, more cargo space, and a higher DC charging peak, not more range.
Atto 3 vs Kia EV3
The Kia EV3 Air Standard Range costs $47,600, close to the Atto 3 Evo Premium's $46,990. At that price, the Evo Premium has more range, more power, and a higher DC charging peak. The EV3 Long Range reaches up to 604 km, and the EV3 has the longer vehicle warranty.
Atto 3 vs Sealion 6
The Sealion 6 is a longer plug-in hybrid SUV with a petrol engine, from $42,990. Its Dynamic Extended Range costs the same $46,990 as the Atto 3 Evo Premium, with a claimed 140 km of electric-only range against 510 km. It suits a buyer who cannot charge regularly, while the Atto 3 suits a buyer who can charge at home.
Atto 3 vs Tesla Model Y
The Tesla Model Y is a larger electric SUV, from $58,900. The Atto 3 Evo Premium costs $11,910 less and has more WLTP range than the Model Y RWD, at 510 km against 466 km. The Model Y is the choice for much more cargo space, with 938 liters against 490 liters.
