Is the BYD Atto 3 the same as the Yuan Plus?
Yes, Yuan Plus is the name BYD uses for the same car in China. Range figures differ between the two markets, because China quotes range on the CLTC test rather than WLTP.

The classic Atto 3 is rated at 345 km or 420 km on the WLTP test, depending on the battery. The 2026 Atto 3 Evo is rated at 420 km as the Dynamic and 510 km as the Premium. At home, the classic 60.48 kWh car takes about 28 hours on the 10 A portable cable and under 9 hours on a 32 A wallbox. On DC, the classic larger-battery car charges from 10% to 80% in about 35 minutes in Australia. The Evo Premium charges from 0% to 80% in 25 to 30 minutes.

The Atto 3 uses BYD's Blade Battery, an LFP (lithium iron phosphate) pack. It is 49.92 or 60.48 kWh in the classic car and 60.48 or 74.88 kWh in the Evo. BYD Australia covers it for 8 years or 160,000 km, with at least 70% capacity.
Is the BYD Atto 3 safe?
The Atto 3 holds five-star ratings from ANCAP and Euro NCAP, both awarded in 2022. The ANCAP rating covers cars built from 21 November 2022, and earlier cars are unrated unless BYD's updates were applied. Euro NCAP graded the driver assistance system 'Not Recommended' in a separate 2024 test.
Does the BYD Atto 3 have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto?
Yes, the 2026 Atto 3 Evo supports CarPlay and Android Auto, both wired and wireless. On an older car, check whether phone mirroring is wired or wireless before buying.
Can the BYD Atto 3 power appliances?
