BYD Atto 3 interior and tech

The BYD Atto 3 interior is built around a large central touchscreen, 15.6 inches on current cars, and a 440-liter trunk on the original model. The 2026 Atto 3 Evo, sold in Australia from September 2026, keeps the screen size, and the Evo Premium adds a larger trunk and a front trunk.

The Evo Dynamic has slightly less cargo space than the original car, so the Premium is the only Atto 3 with a larger trunk and a front trunk. The rear seats split 60/40, and the original car carries a tire repair kit instead of a spare tire.

Screen and connectivity

The original Atto 3 used a 12.8-inch touchscreen that rotates between landscape and portrait. The 2024 update fitted a 15.6-inch rotating screen to all models, along with dual-zone climate control with a camping mode and apps such as Amazon Music and a web browser.

The Evo keeps the 15.6-inch touchscreen and adds an 8.8-inch digital driver display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work both wired and wirelessly, and a 50 W wireless phone charger is fitted. On an older car, check whether phone mirroring is wired or wireless before buying.

Seats and roof

The Evo Dynamic has heated and ventilated front seats, a 6-way power driver's seat, and a 4-way power passenger seat. The Premium adds 4-way power lumbar adjustment for the driver. Both Evo variants have a panoramic sunroof with an electric sunshade, and the 2024 model also had a power panoramic sunroof as standard.

Design details

The 'sea shell' door handles and 'guitar string' door bins carry over from the original car to the Evo. The Evo moves the gear selector to the steering column and redesigns the center console with more storage.

ISOFIX child seat anchor points are standard on the Evo. The safety page covers the child restraint changes made to early Australian cars.
