BYD Atto 3 accessories
Every BYD Atto 3 in Australia comes with a portable charging cable and a V2L (vehicle-to-load) adapter, and the 2026 Atto 3 Evo adds carpet floor mats and roof rails on both variants. BYD Australia does not publish a genuine accessories list or price list online. So, most add-ons, such as roof bars, towbars, and fitted mats, come from aftermarket makers that list the Atto 3.

What comes with the car
This table compares the classic Atto 3 in BYD's 2026 brochure with the Atto 3 Evo.

Earlier classic cars had roof rails too: CarExpert lists them as standard on the 2023 Atto 3.
Roof racks
Rhino-Rack lists the Atto 3 from 2022 as a "5dr SUV With Flush Rails", so a rack needs a mount made for that rail type. CarExpert gives the classic Atto 3 a 50 kg roof rack rating. BYD's Evo owner's handbooks do not publish a roof load limit, so ask a BYD dealer before loading an Evo's rack.
Towing capacity and towbars
The Evo Premium is the only Atto 3 rated to tow more than 750 kg braked.

The Evo Premium handbook allows a towball load of 75 kg on an unbraked trailer and 150 kg on a braked one. It also tells owners to have a BYD dealer or authorized service provider fit the towing kit and the related software update. Damage caused by towing a trailer is not covered by the warranty.
Aftermarket towbars are sold for the classic car. The Hayman Reese 03529RW suits the Atto 3 from June 2022, with a 750 kg rating, a 75 kg ball weight, and a bumper cut. EV Stealth Solutions sells a 750 kg towbar for $799 that fits without removing the bumper. Neither maker mentions the Evo, and a 750 kg bar does not give the Evo Premium its 1,500 kg rating. The specs page lists the other weights.
Floor mats
The Evo comes with carpet floor mats, and BYD's 2026 brochure does not list mats for the classic car. For all-weather mats, 3D MAXpider sells a K-Series floor liner listed for the Atto 3 from 2021 to the present, covering both rows, for $229. X-CAR sells a $119.90 set for 2022-on cars but says it is "Not compatible with BYD Atto 3 EVO". So, confirm Evo fitment before buying mats made for the classic car.
Seat covers
BYD advises against seat covers on the Evo. Both Evo owner's handbooks say: "Do not use seat covers, as they restrict airbag deployment on the corresponding side in an accident." The Evo has side airbags in the driver and front passenger seats. Aftermarket covers are sold for the Atto 3, but none of the listings checked for this page mentions the side airbags.
Charging accessories
The portable Mode 2 cable plugs into a household power point, and the V2L adapter powers appliances from the car. The Evo's V2L output is rated at up to 3.3 kW. For home charging, BYD sells its own BYD AC Charger in 7 kW and 11 kW versions, with a 7.5-meter cable and a 3-year warranty, through BYD dealers. BYD does not publish its price.
The Evo Dynamic charges at up to 7 kW on AC, so only the Evo Premium, at 11 kW, can use the faster charger's full rate. The charging page covers home charging and charge times.
Genuine accessories and warranty
BYD's warranty handbook covers a BYD Genuine Accessory that is defective in factory materials or workmanship within the warranty period. It also excludes damage from unauthorized modifications and from towing beyond BYD's limits.

What is the BYD Atto 3 towing capacity?
The Atto 3 Evo Premium can tow 1,500 kg braked and 750 kg unbraked. The Evo Dynamic and the classic Atto 3 are rated at 750 kg braked, and 2023 classic cars at 700 kg unbraked.
Does the BYD Atto 3 have roof rails?
Yes, on most versions. Both Evo variants and the classic Premium have flush roof rails, and the classic Essential in BYD's 2026 brochure does not.
Can you put seat covers on a BYD Atto 3?
BYD says not to on the Evo. Its owner's handbooks warn that seat covers restrict the side airbags in the front seats.
